Hi Beth!
Just writing to let you know
that Shakti is settling in very
well. He was shy the first
day, but now he's very happy
to play with anyone, and he
follows us around the house.
He's only had 3 accidents so
far, but those were more our
fault than his. He's still
getting used to sleeping in his
crate (we finally heard his
pretty mal voice!), but I
think he'll be alright. We
went to the vet today and she
declared him perfectly
healthy, and we started him
on flea/tick/heartworm
preventative. She also told
me that it was indeed a
puppy tooth that fell out that
day, and that he's already got
almost all his adult teeth
already in. He's a wonderful
puppy, and we all love him
very much. Here are some
pictures of him at home.
I'll keep you updated, and
thanks very much for the
new addition to our family!

Hi Beth,
it's been a while since I've
written; sorry about the
delay! Shakti is doing great.
He's 8 months now and
weighed in yesterday at 72.7
lbs at the vet's office. He's
going to be a big boy! We
started basic obedience last
month at our local Petsmart
and he's picking everything
up very fast, although we still
need to work on our Stay! :) I
also started teaching Shakti
bikejoring- he loves to pull
me. We started out slow, just
jogging to the local
community park and back but
now he can run there and
back almost nonstop, almost
a mile. I'll try and get a few
pictures of him in his harness
and pulling. We got him
neutered back in the end of
July and he's very happy
now, completely recovered.
He's pretty much done
blowing his coat for the first
time, which was an adventure
to say the least! We got him
a kiddie pool and he
absolutely loves splashing
around in it; we use it to give
him baths as well. We haven't
had the opportunity to take
him to the dog beach but I'm
sure he's gonna love that
too. He's made a ton of
doggy friends at the dog
park, and everyone knows
his name at the Petsmart by
our house.
Rajani :)
